主要从事核技术应用、辐射防护等领域研究工作。多年致力于利用辐射手段制备纳米功能材料的研究,在超低剂量率辐射场的模型建立与利用、高能射线综合利用、辐射技术与材料学等领域的研究达到了国际先进水平,在国防、航空航天及民用中草药辐射灭菌等领域取得了较好的社会效益和经济效益。

主持国家自然科学基金,国家科技成果转化项目、国家博士后特别资助、黑龙江省杰出青年基金等科研项目20余项。获黑龙江省科技进步二等奖1项,三等奖2项,哈尔滨市科技进步三等奖1项。授权发明专利8项;发表专著1部,在J.Phys.Chem.C 等杂志发表SCI论文20余篇。培养在读博士生3人、在读硕士生4人,硕士生毕业3人。
